📚 The Curriculum Outline: A Progressive Path

Our 10-class curriculum is systematically structured so that foundational concepts are mastered in the early classes and built upon with advanced study in the later years.

I. Foundational Pillars Classes 1–6

Memorization, basic understanding, and establishing daily Islamic practice.

  • Qur'an & Dua: Noorani Qaida to fluent reading, Juz Amma, daily Duas.
  • Fiqh: Wudu, 5 daily prayers, Fasting & Zakat basics.
  • Aqidah & Hadith: Pillars of Islam/Iman, Hadith memorization.
  • Sirah: Prophet's (PBUH) life to Madinah.

II. Advanced Study Classes 7–10

Deeper analysis, critical thinking, and application to modern issues.

  • Qur'an: Tafsir, Ulumul Qur'an, Qira'at, thematic lessons.
  • Fiqh: Mu'amalat, Inheritance, Nikah.
  • Aqidah & Hadith: Tawhid, Qadr, Usul al-Hadith.
  • Sirah & Tarikh: Rightly Guided Caliphs, Golden Age.

III. Core Integrators All Classes

  • Arabic Language: From basic vocabulary to advanced Nahw/Sarf.
  • Adab & Akhlaq: Etiquette, Shukr, Sabr, Ikhlas — applied daily.

Maktab Curriculum Outline: Classes 1–10

A structured progression ensuring students develop a strong foundational knowledge and an intimate connection with Islamic teachings as they mature.

I. 📚 Lower Primary (Classes 1–3): Foundation

Focus on basic recognition, memorization, fundamental stories, and practical implementation of daily Islamic duties.

Qur'an Sciences Arabic alphabet (Noorani Qaida). Reading Juz Amma (Part 30). Completion of Juz Amma. Basic Tajweed (Qalqalah). Start reading from Surah Fatiha. Reading with fluency. Intermediate Tajweed. Memorization of short Surahs (Nas, Falaq, Ikhlas).
Aqidah (Belief) 5 Pillars of Islam intro. Tawhid: Allah is One. Kalimah Tayyibah memorization. 6 Pillars of Iman intro. Kalimah Shahadah memorization. Names of Allah: 5–10 fundamental Names. Brief stories of Angels (Jibreel).
Hadith 5 short Hadith on cleanliness and manners. 8–10 Hadith on honesty, respecting parents, kindness to neighbors. 10–12 Hadith on knowledge, keeping promises, avoiding backbiting.
Sirah & Tarikh Prophet (PBUH) birth, family. Key Prophets: Adam, Nuh. Prophet (PBUH) call to Prophethood, early Makkan period. Prophets: Ibrahim, Musa. Prophet (PBUH) Hijrah, building the Masjid. Prophets: Isa, Yusuf.
Fiqh Purity (Taharah): cleanliness basics. How to perform Wudu. Salat: steps, positions, basic recitations of 5 daily prayers. Ghusl basics. Sunnah prayers. Adhan & Iqamah. Fasting basics.
Dua 5–7 daily Duas (eating, waking, sleeping). 8–10 Duas (entering toilet, home, before studying). 10–12 Duas (after Adhan, rain, parents, protection).
Arabic Language Common vocabulary (body parts, colors, classroom). Phrase recognition. Simple sentences, pronouns (he, she, I, you). Basic verb forms. Simple conversational phrases. Short story reading.
Adab & Akhlaq Eating, drinking, speaking manners. Respecting parents/elders. Honesty, punctuality, truthfulness. Masjid manners. Kindness to animals. Controlling anger. Study responsibility. Importance of Salam.

II. 📚 Middle Primary (Classes 4–6): Expansion

Students deepen understanding of ritual practices, read longer Surahs, and learn more detailed historical accounts.

Sirah & Tarikh Battles: Badr and Uhud. Role of key Companions (Abu Bakr, Umar). Battles: Khandaq and Khyber. Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. Female Companions (Khadijah, Aishah). Conquest of Makkah. Farewell Pilgrimage. History of the Four Rightly Guided Caliphs.
Fiqh Salat: Sajdah Sahw, Jumu'ah prayer. Zakat basics. Sawm: rules, things that break fast, I'tikaf. Hajj & Umrah basics. Trade: forbidden transactions (Riba). Nikah basics. Halal and Haram meat.
Dua Duas for travel, entering Masjid, Istighfar. Meaning of Surah Al-Fatiha. Sayyidul Istighfar. Duas in Ruku and Sujood. Duas for difficult times and protection from Dajjal.
Arabic Language Sentence structure intro. Vocabulary expansion. Surah Fatiha translation. Idafah (possessive). Ism types (definite/indefinite). Translating short Qur'anic verses. Complex sentence patterns. Reading/translating simple Hadith. Recognizing root letters.
Adab & Akhlaq Speaking and listening etiquettes. Rights of parents and relatives. Dealing with friends and neighbors. Manners of advice. Avoiding pride. Gratitude (Shukr) and patience (Sabr). Respecting scholars. Sincerity (Ikhlas).

III. 📚 Upper Secondary (Classes 7–10): Specialization

Deeper textual analysis, critical thinking, practical community Fiqh, and understanding Islam's application in the modern world.

Sirah & Tarikh Abu Bakr and Umar's governance, key policies, expansion of Islamic state. Uthman and Ali's Caliphate, challenges, early civil conflicts. Umayyad and Abbasid Dynasties. Contributions to science and knowledge. Ottoman Empire, colonialism, and current state of the Muslim world.
Fiqh Transactions (Mu'amalat): Islamic finance, loans, inheritance overview. Marriage & Divorce (Munakahat): rights of spouses. Talaq and Khulu intro. Penal Law (Hudud): purpose of Islamic law, mercy, justice. Role of Qadi. Usul al-Fiqh: four sources of Islamic Law (Qur'an, Sunnah, Ijma, Qiyas).
Dua Qur'anic Duas: context and power of supplications. Dhikr and Awrad: daily Dhikr. Virtues of Salawat upon the Prophet. Ruqyah: permissible and impermissible forms. Personalized Dua: students compose their own Duas based on understanding.
Arabic Language Nahw: advanced case endings. Mubtada and Khabar. Sarf: derived verb forms (Form II–X). Vocabulary through root letters. Reading and translating classical texts (Riyad as-Salihin selections). Conversational Arabic: role-playing on Fiqh and Aqidah topics.
Adab & Akhlaq Jihad an-Nafs: dealing with temptations, Muhasabah (self-reckoning). Community Service: rights of community. Ethics of leadership. Islamic Worldview: connecting all subjects to the purpose of creation. Ethics for the Digital Age: social media, privacy, online communication.
